BASSANO DEL GRAPPA AND MAROSTICA
Bassano del Grappa: tour of the historical town centre with its fascinating medieval squares: Piazzotto Montevecchio with the ancient “Monte di Pieta’”, “Piazza della Libertà” and “Piazza Garibaldi”. The town Museum, the Old Bridge, universally known as Ponte degli Alpini (the Alpine bridge) on the Brenta River, projectd by Andrea Palladio, Grappa Museum and Martyr’s Boulevard, where some partisans were hanged during the Second World War.
Marostica: tour of the historical centre with Piazza Maggiore, where it takes place the famous chess game using living pieces on the giant chessboard made of marble! The two castles, one on the square, on the top of little Pausolino hill, both united by the ancient medieval walls.
